Gianna loves to be creative in her baking. She designed this galaxy frosting to top her chocolate cupcakes, and it is stunning as well as delicious! This is best showcased on chocolate cupcakes.

1  1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
6 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup powdered sugar, sifted

Gel food coloring: black, violet, royal blue, leaf green
Large and medium piping bags
Large star tip

In a mixing bowl whip heavy cream until soft peaks form.
In a separate mixing bowl, whip cream cheese until light and fluffy and no lumps remaining.
Add cream cheese to whipped cream along with powdered sugar and whip until stiff peaks form.
Divide frosting between 4 bowls, and add gel coloring to each.

Scrape each bowl of frosting into individual medium pastry bags.
Cut a hole at the tip of each one.
Slide all 4 pastry bags into a larger pastry bag fitted with a large star tip. They won’t fit to the tip, but the colors will come out separate.

Secure top end with a twist tie.
You can pipe this frosting right away, or store in the refrigerator for 24 hours; in which case, let it warm up some before using.
